Following on from our last message regarding the Dometic product recall we have received this latest update from Dometic regarding their plans for remedial action. We will continue to keep our blog up-to-date when we receive further news.

UPDATE FROM DOMETIC

Product Warning and Recall Liquid gas cookers

Dear valued customer

We are writing to provide an update on the voluntary recall we currently have in place on our range of liquid gas cookers as stated in our letter dated 21/07/2021.

Unfortunately due to the technical nature of the issue, and the extensive testing we are having to perform to perfect the remedial action required, along with having to secure confirmation from a legal standpoint it is taking us longer than we would like to be able to share the remedial action required.

The delay in being able to confirm the remedial action is also influencing our ability to be able to offer replacement products, as our current stock of products is being held pending receiving the necessary remedial action. The delay is compounded further by the current supply chain issues being felt globally, as we have been unable to source suitable replacement parts that would enable us to rework our current stock.

As a business we are working tirelessly to gain the final approval for the remedial testing process, whilst continuing to source suitable replacement parts. We hope to have an update on the testing process shortly and this will be communicated as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we continue to collate all the customer / product details required to ensure we can react quickly once we receive the final approval.
