The Victron Orion-Tr Smart is ideal for use in dual-battery scenarios, where an alternator and starter battery charge a leisure battery. It utilised a fully programmable battery charge algorithm, and is compatible with smart alternators. It can detect when the engine is running also to adapt the charging procedure.

The Victron Orion-Tr Smart regulates the charging process with an efficient 3-stage charging algorithm. This includes a bulk, absorption and float procedure, with programmable control to suit different battery technologies. The Victron Orion-Tr Smart supports Bluetooth, which enables wireless monitoring, control and software updates. A relay can also operated via a two-pole connector on the unit, enabling on-off control.

With short-circuit and high temperature protection

The Orion-Tr is protected from short circuits, reducing the chance of damage from faulty wiring. They can also be connected in parallel to increase the output of your current. The Victron Orion-Tr Smart features IP43 protection when installed with the screw terminals downwards and uses an input fuse to offer additional protection.
