  • Strong, Lasted Weekend in very 28 Degrees and pulled it along

    Straight out of the box it was obviously strong and cable of taking the knocks in life, so on a weekend camping trip for two adults we place two 2 litre frozen bottles inside along with 2 traditional ice packs and 2 flat ice packs along with the groceries and dairy items and two 2 litre drinking bottles.

    Friday to Sunday evening the ice packs meted and the two 2 litre bottles had 50% frozen content. This meant all the items were suitably chilled and we were very pleased given this was kept in a tent with outside 28 degree heat.

    All good, just make sure the lid is closed, the pop out hinged end did pop out slightly on two occasions but only because the contents stopped it closing. It would stay cooler over a longer period at normal British temperature's but even in the heat I think we could have had a full 72 hours before further ice packs, pulling it over a grassy meadow, something not intended worked extremely well .

    Having read reviews on other sites this cool box was everything I expected physically, a good size but not oversized (think traditional family cool box size), sturdy and well made.
    Performance-wise we didn't get the longevity of temperature which other reviewers had claimed, but tbh I think we needed to put more frozen items/cold tablets into it. I did put a 4 litre bottle of frozen water into it 48hrs before we loaded it though.
