We supply a select range of Calor gas bottles to suit the most common and practical uses, from cooking and heating to outdoor entertaining. If you're new to gas bottles, don’t worry, it’s easier than you think. This page will walk you through the basics: what LPG is, which gas bottles we stock, how to buy your first bottle, and how to exchange it when it's empty.

Buying a New Bottle
If this is your first time buying Calor gas, here’s what you need to know. You’ll be paying for two things:
- The gas itself
- A one-time Cylinder Refill Agreement (CRA)
The CRA covers your access to Calor’s bottle exchange system. You’re not buying the bottle, you’re paying to use it. Once you have a CRA, you can keep swapping your empty bottle for a full one of the same type, and from then on, you only pay for the gas.
When choosing your first bottle, make sure it suits your appliance. Gas type and regulator fittings vary between bottles. Not sure what fits? No problem, just ask. We’ll help you pick the right bottle and the right connection, so you’re set up safely and ready to go.
Exchanging a Gas Bottle
Once your gas runs out, exchanging your bottle is quick and easy. Just bring it back and swap it for a full one from the same exchange group, no need to pay for a new bottle or another CRA.
Here’s how the groups work:
- 7kg Butane, 4.5kg Butane, and the Cube bottle
- 6kg Propane and 6kg Lite
- 13kg Patio Gas only
If you’re staying within the same group, you’ll only pay for the gas refill. If you want to switch to a bottle in a different group, for example, from Butane to Patio Gas, you’ll just need to take out a new CRA for that bottle type.
