My massive leisure battery could handle the fridge no problem, the sound of the charger fan kicking in during the night was doing my head in! If you got mains, why not use ‘em. Easy to fit and does the job well. Also, because the fridge is now running on 24v instead of 12v (when mains is available) I’m sure it’s more efficient
Took a while on the position of the adaptor, had to extend cable to battery terminals but now installed and switching correctly when connecting to the grid. Brilliant piece of kit, no more worries of excessive leisure battery drainage when staying more than a weekend.
First one ordered worked for 24hrs and then stopped. Jacksons sent a second one which has been fitted for a week and appears to be working fine, although we’ve not taken the van away yet, but the weather has been very hot and sometimes we are on 240v whist working on the van, and then back on 12v whilst at work, and it seems to have coped well with it all so far.
My waeco fridge on my boat the mains side broke down. It's nice to find an easy replacement. Delivery was great, I had no problems thankyou
