How it works

The accumulator tank holds a reservoir of air and water down stream from the pump. The air absorbs pump and pressure fluctuations, smoothing the flow of water dispensed from your tap. The accumulator tank also makes your water system quieter. The accumulator tank gives the pump greater longevity, so it doesn't cycle as often. This allows the system to use the accumulated pressure to dispense water before the pump kicks in, allowing the pump to reach shut-off pressure more smoothly. This reduces the on/off cycle and provides better control over water dispensed out of your tap.
